Hi Josephine how are you and your new knee? whats your rom? josephine as far as i can remember you said on day to me that you think that i will never achieve a good rom, because of my past with motor accident and almost 8 operacions to my left femure bone, which was in 3 pieces,do you have experience with cases like mine? and could you tell me more about it? next wednesday i will be at 18 weeks postop + 3 weeks of my hospitalization and active rom 90/95 with my pt pushing last time 120,rom before my tkr arom was between 100/110. next may i go back to my os,i dont know what to do,i want more rom by open mua or whatever but i also think that it doesnt help much because of my past with other operacions, scartisue etc. wht do you think with your vast experience? greetings francois adriaans

I think I said you might never achieve any better. There's never anything absolute about these issues.

I saw some patients who'd had bad accidents with their legs that remained stiff after fixation but never one that went on to have a TKR.

next wednesday i will be at 18 weeks postop + 3 weeks of my hospitalization and active rom 90/95 with my pt pushing last time 120,rom before my tkr arom was between 100/110.

110 doesn't seem too bad. ROM can continue being improved for months after the op. And 18 weeks isn't that long a time. Don't despair yet!

next may i go back to my os,i dont know what to do,i want more rom by open mua

I did address this before, that a so-called 'open' MUA is not usually undertaken. The surgeon might snip a whole lot of tight fibres but miss the ones that are preventing a better ROM.

Have more patience. You've plenty of time to improve things yet.

Stp,
I'm at almost 16 months post op. I have found that my Rom is still increasing and that it is doing so without much pushing it on my part.

hi josephine thanks for your answer, will try to have more patience
