Hi Everyone,
I've noticed that I'm having more problems with pain in the past week or so. At 7 weeks post op. I did my usual walk yesterday (after a day of rest), and my new hip ached a lot more than usual (this has been coming on for about ten days). I can localise the pain at the pririformis (particlularly the attachment at the trochanter), and down the femur for about ten inches.
If I use a crutch the pain diminishes significantly, and I need to use it after a maximum of ten minutes 'free' walking. I don't have much of a limp any more, even crutchless.
The pain is a dull ache, and is not very strong, but did wake me at 6 this morning. Mechanically all seems well, less limping, and no eversion/inversion of the foot.
No sign of fever in terms of temperature rise or reddening in the area.
I'm surprised that I still have pain at seven weeks, and the 6 a.m brain rats are whispering 'stem rotation' in my nervous ear.
Any advice gratefully received.
Dawn's left hand is in the sky; the early birds are celebrating their worms in song, and life is very sweet.
Enjoy it all
Nick
