thanks for the messages. my wife had her knee replaced the 17th of last month and it went well. it was supposed to be the 1`4th and we had to switch surgeons. the first would not proceed without the nerve block and the antithesiologist would not administer it due to her nerve damage. she was grateful, i think, because she feared the pain of the needle near the groin. she is doing well and much better than she expected. she is now walking even sometimes without the walker or cane. short walks, that is. she had a severe case of arthiritis so she is glad it is over and removed. she was in a lot of pain before. if anyone needs it done, even tho it is fairly new, it is almost like getting dentures anymore. these guys know what they are doing and so do the therapists after the surgery.
my biggest advice (and i have an amputation as well) to all who have replacements or anything of the sort, is to DO WHAT THE THERAPIST SAYS EVEN IF IT HURTS AT THE TIME. it will pay off big time in the long run.l good luck to all and feel free to write. charlie [email protected]
