Changing the plastic bearing/spacer...

I did a search and didn't find anything on this. I figured it might help someone else, so rather than branch in existing thread I thought it might be good to split it out.

I had a ~9" incision from the open reduction post-fx, so Doc cut there to do my TKA. IF they change my spacer, would they use the same (anterior) incision?

How big a cut would this be?

How do they do this? I've seen vids of TKA surgery, but since all my components are cemented in place, how do they pull out the plastic and put the new one in?
