Joyce, how wonderful to hear things are going so well. Just don't be surprised if at some point there are a few steps backward. It happens. Your friends here will give you all the support you need. You are a model caregiver....just be sure and take care of YOURSELF too....caregiving is hard work.

My OS normally only uses the CPM in the hospital. He said that "long term use" has not been shown to be any more effective. He still let me have one at home for awhile because it hurt my piriformis/IT band so badly unless my leg was elevated like that. I think having it for a couple of weeks was a great asset. I would sleep with the thing going, and I never really stiffened up. I will ask for it again when I have knee #2 done.
