Good news Tracie, won't be long now and you will be pain free. The next few weeks will fly past cos you will have so much to organise. Good luck with it all and keep us up to date.

That's such super news, Tracie!! And the best part is....you'll really be getting your life BACK!!!:thmb:

:thmb:Awesome, Tracie! And you will get your life back! This is truly a miraculous procedure. Mark that date! It's like a new 'birthday'. :D

Tracie,

You will be so happy when all of this is behind you, and your no longer in pain. Just do your exercises and follow your dr instructions. Life is so good again I just cant believe how wonderful my hip feels and the things I can now do.

Gods Blessings

Come to think of it.... TODAY is my 9 month birthday!!! I was just telling my husband,,,what a difference life is for me NOW in comparison to last year at this time! I've been trying to power walk 3 mile a day now! Last year I couldn't walk across the room without pain!!!!s

Hi, First, go Judi. I walk or do the eliptical for 3 miles per day. No pain and it feels so good most days. Tracie, I had a RTHR a year ago. All is great. I wish you the best as you start this adventure. In a weird way I wish it was a year ago as I had such a great recovery during the fall and the pampering/time off of work. After the first week or so it was all uphill and i so enjoyed my 8 weeks home recuperating. I hope you have the same experience.

I hope you meant downhill!! :thmb:

Tracie,
Congrats on the date set. It can be nerve wracking, waiting for the great day, kind of like waiting for the birth of a child:pnc: but so worth it when all is done.
Now is the time to get organized, getting necessary help lined up, equipment you will need, hobbies, books, etc. lined up to help pass the time as you recupe. Maybe meals prepped and put in the freezer.
Just think how much you will be able to enjoy the coming holidays and family celebrations.
Good luck and do keep us posted on your progress:thmb:
