Cathy, where are you, not heard from you for a couple of days. Hope you are OK, just busy getting on with life?

Hi Sue,
Well I didn't make it to my doctors appt. as I got let's see how to put this"the runs". I don't have a problem with not going since the gastric bypass and bypassing 5 feet of my intestines I have the other problem. Well, my doctor is 40 minutes from my house and I got about 5 miles out of town and had to turn around Yuck....................................
I did go to my pt today and they tried several new exercises on different equipment, well to say the least I am sore. I didn't forget to get the measurements for you though.
On my back with a towel under my thigh and bending with gravity I was at 78 I am now at 89 degrees.
On my stomach with a belt attached to my foot pulling it up behind me I was 71 now at 83 degrees
The last is on that contraption that I have a picture of myself in with the pulley on my foot. I was 81 and now 93 degrees. These measurements were all taken a month apart.
I am not racing to the finish line that is for sure but with therapy I will improve and I have to because they are not doing another manipulation on me.
We have tickets tomorrow to Riverdance and I can't wait as this will be my 2nd time seeing it on stage.
I think our tickets are for front row balcony and although those are great seats we may have to change them for less desirable seats as I don't think my knee will bend to that degree for 2 hours. Wish me luck and I will be back tomorrow night to let you know how I did.

Cathy, I think your progress is wonderful!!! You are really working hard and sometimes the numbers come more slowly than you might like. But they are COMING! Keep working on it and you'll get there. You are going to have a great Saturday with Riverdance!!! It's such a good show!

Cathy, Glad to see you back. Thanks for the numbers. You sound as if you are doing really well since the manipulation. I have never had to do the laying on the stomach stretch thank goodness, my boobs always get squished if I lay that way!! Very uncomfortable. That pulley thing must be really good. How are you getting on with going up and down stairs? I still can't go up or down properly.

Both my knees hurt tonight. I went into town to do a few chores this morning, came home had to take as nap. Then went outside and raked the dead grass and salt off the front lawn, then had to come in and take a shower and a nap. I get so frustrated with myself for not having enough stamina still, I usually bawl my eyes out before I get to sleep. I wasn't this tired after I had my hysterectomy, only for 6 weeks. Mind you I guess I was only 31 and a lot slimmer then too. Oh well, hey ho!!

Anyway, just came on for the first time today so have to get caught up before bed. Sue

I know exactly what you mean about sick of feeling tired all the time. Before the surgery I was like a chicken with it's head cut off racing around getting tons done but now I feel like a great great grandma. I can't keep up and knowing that it will come later just doesn't cut it sometimes. I want it now!
What a crybaby I am but I want my old self back sooner rather than later.
Cathy

I knew I liked you from the start. From this day forward Jan. 9th will be unlucky day not Friday the 13th.
I am going to bed now and try to get some sleep for my big outing tomorrow. I will return tomorrow night to let you know how things went.
Cathy
