can anyone tell me why i had bruising behind the knee and calf from right THR

Hi Dickgad!!!Welcome! You must have gotten bruising from manipulation during your surgery!!!!lots of pulling going on,for sure!

Because that's where the surgeon grips your leg to move it around duing the operation. It's quite possible he either had trouble dislocating at the start and/or reducing it at the end.
