Jo and others,
You know I'm about to have kr on my second knee Monday. No one is exempt from having questions, even someone who's been through this before. I hit my knee on a table or something, can't remember exactly, about two weeks ago and have had a bruise just below the knee cap. I thought it was gone but noticed yesterday that it is still there. It's almost not noticeable and probably wouldn't be noticed if I didn’t have such a fare complexion. Do you think this will cause a problem if it is still slightly there on Monday morning? It hurts a very, tiny bit if I push around and find just the right spot. You know how it is, You want everything to be perfect going into this. Karen

My unmedical trained brain says when it comes to bruising and sore, that knee ain't seen nothing YET! I wouldn't think it to matter, but that is a total guess. Jo will know. You're right, you get into a mental zone where you just want to get it done once you've decided to do it.

No worries there, Karen. It'll be fine.

Just don't cut yourself shaving your legs! My OS said not to shave for 2 days pre-op and that they have cancelled KRs when people have cut themselves....

Best of luck to you!

Yesterday was my daughter's HS graduation and we had record heat. It was about 100 degrees, sitting on the football bleachers with many leaving to go inside the school. It was a horrible graduation and by the time they got to the Ts, (my daughter) well, let me just say we were all taking cover from the heat and missed the best part. My daughter called her gown the polyster cape of death. All of the students were pulling them off during the ceremony and they were passing out water and gatorade to the 400 graduating students. This was my last daughter graduating and I have to say the worst ceremony because of the heat. We would have welcomed rain.

I was really really worried about getting a sunburn and kept slathering on the lotion about every 20 minutes. I did fair well with that. You know how it is. You get paranoid about anything that might delay the surgery. You just want to get it done!
