Here I am the night before surgery. Wow, did this month go fast looking back. I am all ready to have this done and start recovering. My surgery is scheduled for noon, and I told the doctor to be sure he eats lunch as he told me he has two "difficult" cases before it is my turn!
Good night to all, and I will be checking back in when the brain, eyes and fingers can work all work together. I am so grateful for the support and friends I have found here. xx :kittykiss:

hi everyone, thanks for all the thoughts and good wishes. surgery went very well, I opted to
have a spinal with a femoral block and the nite nite med. I woke up fully alert, no pain. 4 hrs
post-op now, had a light supper and lots of water to drink. have cpm machine going and quite
comfy. only issue is holy cow itching. IV benadryl did not even touch it. Going quite well so far!

Shelley, you are itching from a reaction to one of the meds---have the nurses track it down for you.

Hey Shelly, so good to hear from you, sounds like you are doing good. One of the meds making you itch? Maybe they can determine what is. Hope you stay comfortable during your hospital stay, and they can give the right combination of meds as you start recovery. Hugs :yay:

Congratulations, Shelly. Good to be reporting at four hours. I remember that itching when I was in hospital and I thought it was the morphine. However I have taken two Tramadol the last couple of days and have been itching like mad  Small price to pay though, me finks.

I hope you continue to do well. Keep us posted
