Hi all.Iam a 42 year old male.Been suffering from AVN for the last 5 years.
This past fall it really took a turn for the worst.I made up my mind to get it taken care of.Saw my OS on Jan.17th.schedule for the 6th of March.
I can't wait to get rid of the stinkin pain.Wish he could have scheduled me sooner. Thanks for listening.

Good Luck with your surgery! My husband has AVN in both hips. His right hip was replaced on 11/29/06. He said it is great to not experience any more bone pain on the right side. The left side pain is not very bad at this time, so he wants to wait as long as possible.

Hello, We have a few things in common. I am 42yrs and is having Bilateral on the 6th of March aswell. I don't have AVN but some other not so common condition. Keep in touch with your progress....Good Luck and best wishes, Sonia.

Thanks for the wishes.Just came home from the pre-op testing and
joint replacement cl*** at the hospital.I am starting to get a little antsy.
The pain keeps reminding me we need to do this.

Glad you made the decision. had surgery on January 24th. two days latter while walking in the corridors of the hospital. I stopped and realized at that moment the pain was completely gone. all I had to deal with was the discomfort of the surgery. I actually stood there and started to cry. I have felt nothing since. good luck with everything. take the time they tell you and your recovery will be successful.
