I have been on this web site for a couple of months reading and learning and I want to thank all of you for the priceless info that is here. I am 24 days out from my surgery and I am getting antsy, worried, scared i cannot imagine not having a forum as this to help me through.

Thank you all!

Max,
Good luck with it. Stay strong, informed, and know you will make it past the first month just fine if you take your medication as prescribed and work hard in PT. Ice, rest, & elevate and you will be golden.
Best,
Crystal

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))) Max - glad we have been able to help.

Max,

Welcome onboard! I was just like you before my BTKR. I found this forum with the most helpful and careing people who saw me through my surgery and are still carring me on through my recovery. And we also have the most knowledgeable nurse Jo, who can answer any medical question you have. Good luck Max and know we will all be with you.

God Bless,
Rick

Max, You're right behind me for TKR. I'm getting antsy too. My surgeon hasn't told me just what he is going to do and has not spoken to me about the surgery. I'm going to ask for an appointment just to have a talk with him.

I have a question to all. Has your doctor/surgeon clearly spoken to you as to what he is going to do and what it entails? Such as arthroscopic vs. full incision? Which company he uses for hardware? What kind of prothesis he likes to use?

My surgeon sayd he has to adjust my joint. Says my femur lies over the fibia? He hasn't clearly told me what he will do to adjust, but says it may feel different. Man, I'd just like him to converse with me for five or ten minutes and tell me what he is going to do.

Has anyone had a surgeon that just expects the patient to say yes, enter the operating room, and copme out with results? They must make enough money to spend a few minutes telling the patient wht'a up---Huh?

Kevin
