My surgery went great and I have had no set backs. I had PT for 7 weeks, very rigorous at my request. I have been released from my DR. at this is my second day back at work. My DR. was very adament about plenty of pain meds before PT and I truly believe that this is what made the difference in recovery for me. There were several other TKR at PT when I started and most were still there on my last visit because the had not met there range of motion requiremens. My right leg is a 0% and 126% flex my left leg is at 0% and 123% when I was released. I am not at 100% but I am 1000% better that before. If I had to do it all over I would not change any thing except getting it done 10 years ago.

Glad to hear there is at least ONE doctor out there with commonsense regarding pain control!

Well done you!

hi Max

I think you're doing really great! You are inspiring me now - I am now 115 %/0%. Good I thought until I see your success but you have 3 weeks in front of me so now I have something to aim for.

Do you expect your flex to get even better or is there a limit?

You are absolutely right about the pain killer issue and again you inspire me to get on to my Dr re own painkillers.

Thanks Max - and well done you!

The PT tech said 130 was the maximum range for my new knees. What I want to accomplish is 130% with no assistance I am at about 116% just bending on my on. I am no longer in PT so it will be up to me now not to loose what they helped me achive.
