I went back to work Tuesday at 11 weeks, I drive 40 minutes to work, 9 hours at work and 40 mintues to get home and I must say I am in a little pain, my knee is not so bad but my back and down my leg are very bad, I work in Finance and sit at the computer most of the day, I try to get up a lot but still in pain, even my fingers seem to hurt lol I think after 11 weeks of not working my body needs to adjust, but I am not bored anymore lol Just wanted to check in and let those that are new know life will return to normal or better, for me I can now walk without pain and go up and down my stairs. yippee Lyn

lyn, I can relate to the long days. I worked 14 hours yesterday and most of it at my desk. My leg aches and I have to get up and walk around, but I still feel much better than even a week ago. I do still take pain meds though. I reduced the amount and take 1 vicadin about every 6 hours or so. I don't feel any side effects but it keeps the pain down for the most part. I find relaxing is actually more difficult. Probably because I now have so much work on my mind...ha ha...oh well can't have it both ways now can we?
Thinking about playing the lotto....staying home is okay with me.

Lyn, Yes, it will get better. Trust us when we tell you. You went from being in your house for a long time , to a long work day. Every part of your body is being used and tested now....the pain will ease as your body becomes used to normal activity. Be dilligent in getting enough rest and recovery time! Let your loved ones know you need some time to recover when you get home. Hope all goes well and your recovery goes into Godspeed mode!
