Went back to work today! I am so glad I was able to take that much time off! I worked 8am - 2:30pm and then had PT from 3-4, stopped for a quick visit with my mom since I was in town and got home about 5:30pm.

Got my ice, sat in my recliner. My husband got home, wasn't hungry yet and went out to work in the yard. I promptly fell asleep for 1 1/2 hours!

Wow, what a day! I'm sure my endurance will step up each day as I go to work each day. I was so happy to be back at work. I've got a great job with great people that I really missed.

People were so surprised at how well I was doing - no limping! I took ONE ALEVE this morning and that's all I'm taking (most days).

I'm sure I'll sleep all night tonight!

Still have more work to do on my PT (I'm at 113 and -5) but I continue to work at it.

Thanks for all your support these last weeks. I know I'm where I am because of all of you being my cheerleaders. I'm not done with my recovery and will continue to check out the forum often, but going back to work will really cut into my Bonesmart ONLINE time! You guys have been there for me these last seven weeks at every waking hour I needed you! This is such a great tool in our KR recovery!

Laurie

Well done Laurie, so glad it all went well for you. You will be tired at first. I still need a power nap after my PT, I am at 6 months!! It will get better each day I am sure.

Well done that girl! It's so great to see you all getting on with life.

That is great. I remember when I made it through my first afternoon. I couldn't get to my bed fast enough when I got home. Before long it was a 6 hour day and then a 9 hour day. Today (at 10 weeks). I worked all day, straight home to exercises, I went for a walk, cleaned house and didn't stop until a few minutes ago. Let's see if I add up the entire day - 14 hours and I forgot to lay down for my five minute rest. Now, not all days are like that - but it has been over a week since I felt like a truck ran over me. Your endurance will return and you will get stronger and stronger.

Well, I finished my first week of work - 28 hours (in four days, I have Fridays off). I am totally exhausted each evening, but each day I can tell my endurance is building. Luckily, I don't have to be in first thing in the morning, I can just go in when I want to. So the mornings I didn't have a good night's sleep, I just rolled over and went back to sleep and went in to the office about 9:30-10am.

I'm sure next week will even be better!

Anyone heard from MamaYama yet? I've been thinking about her all week!

Laurie, What a fantastic event! i'm glad for you. i've been eyeing the help wanteds. I was self employed but had to stop for the surgery. I'm starting to get bored tough and we sure could use the extra $. thanks for the example...
