Well, I went back to Pilates yesterday. I had tried a couple months ago and just wasn't ready. I feel ok today, so must be ready. Here's the interesting part. She had me do this exercise where you're laying on your side, knees bent, and then push this bar up with your foot--yeah, it's tough. Anyway, I started on my non-operated side and could barely get the cussed bar up--it took all I had. I figured when we switched sides and I had to use my operated leg I wouldn't be able to move it at all. Wrong--piece of cake.
My left leg has been working for years to do the work for both--I believe that's why it went bad so quickly. Now it's the strong one again.
I sure wish the pain behind my knee would go away. Does anyone else have pain back there? It doesn't hurt all the time, but if I try to do certain things, it really hurts. For example, I can do a side leg lift with that leg with no problem, but if I try to side lift the leg with the knee bent--oh brother. When I asked the OS about it he had no idea. I see him again on Thursday--I might have to be a bit more insistent.
