Howdy, ya'll. I just had the best weekend at the Oregon Coast. Started out with rain and hail and wind on Friday night, more hail and rain, then sunshine on Saturday, and woke up to snow this morning. Amazing!

I did a LOT of going up and down stairs that were uneven heights and fairly deep (9-10" at least). Sat in a camp chair that was far too low and had to get up and down out of it often - so finally switched to a folding chair on Saturday evening. Sang on the worship team so had to stand and dance around a bit for 20 minutes or so at a time. I did have to take a pain med or two, but I did great and feel so good. It was nice to be able to get around and not be in much knee pain. My good friend who had a TKR in November was there and we commiserated. She has the same issues we've all experienced. Nice to have folks who understand around.

I'm back, relaxed and refreshed, and ready for a new week with a much more mellow attitude and a wonderful spirit. I missed you and talked to lots of folk about my BFF on BoneSmart. It was nice not to have a PC around for 2+ days. No way I'm going to catch up on things, so if there is something I missed that I should know about, please tell me here!

For those that prayed for me, thanks. I felt fully covered and protected all weekend. God bless you!

Isaiah 40:31
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Good verse for TKR patients.

Skeeter, welcome back. Missed you. Patti, My church is the same way. And a lot of us have used the same OS. We joke how we should try and get a group discount.

Hi, Skeet!!! Great to have you back and all refreshed. Sounds like a great trip and you managed to get lots of "knee therapy" while you were havin' fun. Good for the body and the soul!!! We have LOTS of new members online now, so you'll no doubt be hearing from them as you read posts. I am amazed every day at how many people join....it's great! I'm never sure if they understand all our craziness, but guess it must be okay.

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Skeet welcome back (((((((((HUGS)))))))))
and hey Doug well said well said !!!!!!! AMEN ! JIM :O)

Welcome back Skeet, so glad you had such a terrific time. Snow? Were you camping outside? Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr if you were.

No we had a great lodge to stay in. Nice and warm. I'm not a camper... unless there is room service, spa, etc.

Doug, Isaiah 40:31 is our school's verse. I love it.

One of my roommates had TKR the month before me. It was fun to share with each other. We both have a very sensitive spot on the outside of our knee. It's so sensitive to me that if one of the dogs' collars even brushes against it, it is painful. She has all the same challenges we have had - depression, insomnia, restless legs, crying jags, etc. She was so relieved to know we all had shared the same issues. It was really fun!

Jamie, I did notice lots of new names. How wonderful! Maybe our flyers are starting to pay off! I wonder if anyone joined as a result of hearing about the forum from their doctor, therapist, or a flyer??? I know I tell everyone about this wonderful group of friends.

Welcome back Skeet sounds like just what you needed. I'm having a restless leg night and I've never had it before so I'm not too familiar with what to do with them. I've laid in bed on a couch and in a recliner none comfortable and I'm so sleepy I think I could fall asleep sitting straight up crazy huh?

Cathy, Jamie puts a heat pad in the small of her back and seems to get some relief from that.
I had an awful night last night, was the full moon I think!! Got to sleep finally about
5.30am until 8.30. Tonight I was all warmed up by being in the sun, layed on the sofa with my leg elevated on my body pillow, heat pad under, soft blankie over me and fell asleep for an hour. OOHH, it was so cozy. I hope to sleep better tonight. It is almost 2 am, will be going to bed soon, I have taken my pills now.

Hope you get back to sleep soon. ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) to help you sleep, Sue
