So, you're telling me that you can only see the one surgeon the VA recommends and you have no other alternatives? And, if that's true, I'm going to guess that you've already gone the route of trying to get the VA Patient Advocate involved to be able to get to the bottom of the loosening.
The bottom line is you've had implants loosen quickly twice. You need to be assured that whatever doctor you're working with has identified the problem as to why this is happening and has a good plan to ensure it doesn't happen again. Since you've not had infections (I assume you were tested for that), it can be tricky to find the reason for aseptic loosening. But with it happening to you this fast both times, someone should be looking into the "why" instead of just putting in another revision.
