another question for Jo: vericose vein in the groin is what I have

i am fairly sure that a vericose vein is causing me pain in the unoperated side. I have a thick vein there that a doctor told me a long time ago was that. What can I do for it? Thanks!!

Sadly nothing! If you do have a varicose vein there, it's probably varicosed most of the way down your leg. There are two treatments; if the varicosities show in your legs like little bunches of grapes, they can be injected to make them close down and go away. Otherwise the entire vein needs to be surgically tied or removed.
