Another milestone!

Not quite 5 months since my THR and today was definitely a red letter day! It was a beautiful spring day and I spent over 6 hours in the yard, clearing out fall & winter debris from the landscaping beds. It wasn't until I was done that I realized how much time had passed--and that I hadn't been able to do this last spring! Bending, squatting, kneeling, up & down, over and over, with not a single thought about my new hip!

I am SO, SO glad I did this! And as for my OS--think it's time to send him a thank you note!

Aww that is great! It's amazing that you didn't even think of your hip. Congrats!

I thought about writing my OS a thank you note too. A million thank yous' are not enough! It's like the movie "To Sir With Love"......how do you thank someone who has done so much for you???

that is great news. I think I've sent at least 2 thank you's to my hip/knee surgeon. He always comments on them when I see him next .
I just sent one to my spine doc after my horrendous thoracic spinal fusion surgery. I saw him at a seminar on lumbar disc disease and he really appreciated it and told me it made his whole week.

So I say send that note!!

I had a smile on my face reading your post PRGal - it was good to hear how well you're doing! Congratulations and keep it up! As soon as it cools down here I plan on getting out in the garden again!
