Ankle Ankle fusion

I had an ankle fusion 7 months ago. At my last consultation I was told it hadn't consolidated and it's looking like I need a 2nd op with a bone graft. Has anyone experienced this? I'm gutted as I followed all instructions to the letter and dont smoke and I'm not diabetic which are the 2 reasons normally for failure!

So sorry your fusion didn't work. These things just happen sometimes. Did your surgeon say how soon you can have your second op?
