:thmb: Well after 2 knee replacements, I took on the project of building an 8 X 12 X 8 feet high wood shed. All went well with leveling the corner and middle support posts and getting the frame in place. The siding and roof slats went well. Up and down the ladder umpteen times! I started to get anxious when it came to the shingles on the roof but my good wife held the ladder and up I went. The first and second courses were ok but then I had to get up on the roof itself (8 feet at the front and 6 feet at the back). I thought I could not do it! I put on proper knee pads and found I could work just like I could before surgery. What an experience! My wife took a photo of me standing on the roof after completion. I will post it at some time. For all of you facing TKR this is a statement that you can do it as well. I am 67 years old.
Cheers, Ross

Thanks Clunker. Well my son-in law has first dibs on a wood shed! However, it would be nice to visit minnesota some time. I will let you know!!!! No major problems with the knees but sometimes a little ache in the left one at night.
How are you progressing?

Doing better, I still have some knee clunk and swelling, but other wise doing good.If I push myself to hard,I can really tell it. I am one of them it's going to take a full year or maybe more to be dancing in the streets, well unless I get to partying, then I will dance and pay for it the next day,,haha. It's good to hear from you,,keep up the good work!!

Mark, it can take some time for the knee to stabilize. Last summer I felt very unstable on my left knee but this year, the muscles are much more secure and I can do much more. Hang in there it does get better!!!
