TKR Acute sudden pain 2 yrs post surgery

Last night I rolled over in bed, and I heard a pop, and immediately I had acute pain on my right prosthetic knee 1/4 of the knee cap continuing to the inner side of the knee. Its so painful. I cannot bend my knee at all but can stand with no pain if i don't bend at the knee. . And the pain is between a nine and a ten.What could have happened

I’m not sure what might have happened (any number of things) but I suggest you get it looked at. Do you have any Orthopedic Urgent Care centers near you? That’s who I went to a couple of years ago when I fell on my PKR. I had to drive about an hour and a half, but to me it was worth it, to be seen without an appointment.

I've had both done, the one injured, the right one, was the most recent 11/21. There are extenuating circumstances, I had a dbl masectomy 3 weeks after the tkr stage 4 breast cancer, and have been on Anastrozole which has deteriorated my bone dramatically and I've lost all my teeth s well. I just took ytd bone density test and they've deteriorated .5 over last years numbers.

I have an orthopedic here in Palm Spprings, just concerned if I should wait till Monday or go into an urgent care prior to that.

Oh no! I'm so sorry.
Definitely urgent care if you can get there safely - they can get x-rays, do a preliminary or tentative diagnosis, and maybe provide a brace or guidance precautions until you can see your ortho.

Agree with @mendogal and @Jockette to go to urgent care even if it means a wait.
If it's anything like here- take food/ fluids in case the vending machines are empty.

Thanks all. Going to ice and wrap and lay low till tomorrow. The left was done the year before. Turning into the bionic woman.. .Fused 2-7 in my upper spine, two knees and two breasts! Unfortunately, due to the chemo meds, I've severe bone loss which includes losing all but 5 of my Mayur teeth. Medicare refuses to cover the dental due to this medication. I'm just done with doctors and hospitals. Thanks for listening, just having an offday for to the pain. Glass is usually half full.
