I was a church last week--setting some things up and, of course, in a rush. I ran out to my car, tripped over the little thingie in the ground that they use to keep the hose in place. I continued forward for a few paces, hoping that I would manage to regain my balance, but finally, gave up and let myself roll!!! I landed splat and then rolled over twice before the final splat!!!!
Luckily I had on capri pants and not a skirt!!! I managed to pick myself up and several people helped me to get all the dirt and mulch off!!!!
I was standing there nervously laughing, when finally someone said--Uh, how is your knee? these were the same women who saw a friend who was three months out from a tkr break her femur in a fall. I was lucky--I guess I was moving so fast that the roll helped. 'But, I do think that when you are going to fall you should just relax and let yourself go---that way you don't break an arm or something trying to save yourself.
I certainly hope that the dignity of old age happens soon and I don't have to worry about tripping over my own two feet!!! Kelly
