2/1-Surgery long day - naucious afterwards
2/2-high & out of it from pain killers, low hemoglobulin so she was given the blood she donated prior to surgery, low BP so was NO P.T. given had to ask nurse for the breathing thing as it was not given to her yet.
2/3 - mind much better was on tylenol and not percacets. had P.T. walked with walker maybe 5 steps. Looks like she has a long way to go. She can't urinate so they put the catherter back in.
2/4 - waiting for call from social worker to see if she will be released to go to rehab facility.

Does all this sound normal??? In constant worry while sitting here at work.

Very normal, Leanne. People always look, sound and feel rough after almost any op. It's partly the op and partly the anaesthetic. And it does hit the older folk much more than the younger. Fair knocks the stuffing out of them, as we say over here!

Don't worry. She will just take a longer time to get her strength back. And the bladder problems aren't all that unusual either. The elderly often run into that issue. The catheter won't be in for more than 24 hrs or so and then she should be ok.

Keep coming back with more queries if you want. That's what we are here for.
