Hi All,<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Yesterday I had my 6-week check with my OS. It went really well. I was told that my scar is healing well and he was pleased with my overall progress but concerned that my scar area was still quiet hard and that I had muscle weakness still. He suggested I use vitamin E oil:sct: to soften and loosen the internal scarring.

<O:p</O:pI have also been given the all clear to drive, albeit an automatic, (so this means I have to drive my husband's car).:hehe:<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

I am also now permitted to swim so for two days in a row I have gone swimming:D. I am now doing laps again and it feels so good, I have missed it! i also do my exercise in the pool which relieves the lower back as this is still hurting:shk:.

The other concern my OS had was that my muscles are still rather weak after the LTHR and he has advised an intense course of PT to get me of my cane. I have also been advised that I am not ready to return to work for at least another 6 weeks as he feels I am not very confident with my cane.

Finally the OS has lifted all restrictions, which means I could sleep on my operated side if it wasn’t hurting so much! <O:p</O:p

All in all I feel great and the progress made to date is an acheivement.
