Well so far so good, PT has got my rom to -1 and 123 which is doing a little better than what either of us has expected. I'm still fighting the swelling and have a fair amount of pain on the inside of my knee at times. The main thing I'm concerned about is my quad, im having problems locking out my leg and doing leg raises as it seems its getting worse more so than better, hurts bad when doing them!!:shk: All in all though I feel my progress is on track and doing well and after all the complications I had in the early stages with the blood clots and broken femur I guess I cant complain about where im at.:thmb:

Ouchie Thumper, I'll have to look back and find your earlier posts. It sounds like you are making good progress, keep at it!
It's always good to see another "bunny"

Great report, Thumper. You've been working hard and it's paying off. I'm so happy for you!!!

So what pain meds are you on that you're not taking?!! There's no need for you to be experiencing that!

I'm at about 7 weeks out too! Sounds like you are doing well, especially with the complications you have had!

My ROM is -3 and 110 (on a good day.) Had a bad experience at PT last week that set me back a bit, but I'm hoping to get back on track.

When I'm at PT, the location where I hurt is my upper thight and on the outside of my knee--probably about an area a good 8-9" long, and 2-3" wide. And then with the extensions it hurts really bad in the back of my calf and thigh.

Jo, I just don't feel like pain meds have really ever helped me at all. I don't think they will give me anything stronger either! I have Hydrocone (the strength is "10?") and Percocet. Both considered rather strong pain killers. I still have alot of pain.

Back to Thumper, good for you! You sound like you are doing really well!!:thmb:

Hi Thumper, I know what you mean about the qaud's. At least for me, my Qaud
seemed to atrophy rather quickly. (two prior medial meniscus tear surgeries on
the same PKR side) But overall It sounds like your doing well! Other than the pain
management of course. Best Wishes, Tom

Hey Thumper great news you are 7 weeks i think you are doing a great job..........swelling and pain expected but over all great job............keep us posted and congrats..........
