That is true and coming out of the warm water, I freeze. You probably have more balance doing ballet then I would. I kept TIPPING over while on the noodle, one minute Im there the next I was not. Anyway!! Is that tendon still hurting?

Woke up today and knees are MUCH better, almost back to where they were. There was a horrible pain in my 7 month knee joint, I actually thought I could feel that mechanical joint in there and it didn't feel good. And shooting pains just standing up.

Now today it feels much better, so I think I'm OK.

Called the gym where I took the class, I was on a guest pass. When I told them what happened they extended my pass, so I'll go to an "aqua rx" class Monday and meet with a personal trainer there about which machines to use.

I wouldn't have done this except for you Kim, when you said you were able to work up to the water dancing.

I still haven't been on a noodle, the exercise sounds good, but if you keep tipping over I imagine your hair gets wet...and I"m not doing my hair all over again. My hair is naturally straight and fine, so I need major product in it to give it body. I just can't be doing that after every session.

Opinions on any kind of water therapy appreciated.

When you are on a noodle yes your hair might get wet if it is long.

Depends on exercise. Generally it is just moving your feet and legs back and forth as the noodle holds you up. Also some kicks on it, but with the TKR you might not do that.

I did water therapy before the TKR

No No FRILLY bathing cap...Yes we do all that with the TKR anything you can stand and then some. I just got back from pain and torture...ugh, Im telling you I think she is still trying to place my leg behind my head !!!!!lol

I think the bathing cap would do more harm than good, really smash down my hair. Unless they're making better ones these days.

My hair is about chin length, a bit longer in back.

Now my 7 month knee is hurting again. What does it mean when you can't help but yelp from the pain when first standing? I guess this pain progresses through the day.

Kim where are you getting pain and torture, at the PT? Certainly not on a noodle!

And you said you tipped over on your noodle, that got your hair wet, right?

Hollie

Haha yes PT, she is somthin' else!!! I do agree with the cap smashing down...Didn't do the noodle today, because I probably would have HIT her with it. I do run around the house (well not run) yelping, gotta get it out some kinda way right !! Have you had PT. Some times I think the pain is so intense that it is more stiff when I am done. At 7 mths it hurts? Not like before I hope...Please...

No, no, 7 month knee was great, no pain until I torqued it at the supposed water walking class (that turned out to be a water ballet class). I'm wrapping it now and that makes it feel better, more supportive.

I didn't do much PT since I was quad sparing. I'm hypermobile, so I get ROM fast, and also it causes my joints to self destruct. I had full ROM by 3 weeks, both surgeries. I guess ROM is why your PT is painful?

But you didn't tell me, Kim, did you get your hair wet when you tipped over on the noodle?
