Glad to hear that hubby is on the mend, as has been said before we all heal at different rates the main thing is not to over do anything. Even though it is frustrating.
I had my 3rd hip replacement to the same site as my previous post earlier. 2 weeks ago.
I woke up after the op and was pain free immediately the first time for 3 years and without painkillers.
This time I was up the next day full weight bearing and exercising twice a day, and was discharged from hospital after 5 days.
I have the odd problems like legs and feet swelling up, so I ice pack and elevate my legs and at night elevate my legs to make sure that they are above the level of my heart.
I try to do 1 longish walk each day and then my exercises twice and walk around the apartment where I am staying until I can go home then make sure I have tthe ice packs ready the rest of the time.
Better safe and slow than sorry and I have been there twice before, this time it feels good.
I wish you all the very best and your husband is lucky to have you to support him as I am with my wife.
