5 weeks PO 2 steps forward 1 step back

LTHR 5 weeks ago. I have been doing really well up till 2 days ago. I went to the pool and walked in 4 foot of water to work on walking with out a cane. Yesterday my knee joints ached and my thigh muscles were sore above knee. I figure that it was using muscles that hasn't been used in a while. I just need to make my self work through it.
 
You're exactly right, Mark. Glad to hear you are doing so well otherwise!! When you do a big workout like that, dormant muscles will talk to you a little. Best thing to do is to rest a day or so and do it again....maybe don't push quite so hard each time. But frankly, the water therapy is really good for you. When you get pain like that, take an Aleve or other NSAID pain reliever and it should help. Keep up the great work!!!
 
Hey Mark same thing happened to me when I went in the water. Sore muscles ugh...It will work it self out...Sorry though. take it easy. Take care of yourself....
 
mark, just from reading i dont think its a step back at all. it sounds like another step forward. you might be sore, but if its just from building muscle its still progress. keep at it xxx

Mark, you are doing really well. My benchmark is knowing that when my muscles are aching after doing some new exercise then I must be doing something right. After all there are a lot of muscles in there that we haven't used for a very long time.

Keep up the good work and just rest and take pain killers when you need to.
