    Hello everyone,
I posted awhile ago with fears of not finding an OS who would do a THR on someone my age. Fast forward a couple of terrible specialist appointments, more xrays and MRI, and thanks to a member on this forum @turtleyhip, and the moderators, who gave me an amazing surgeon referral, and the self-confidence and strength to follow my own instincts with their spot-on advice. I now get my New Hip on July 16th!!! I have been in moderate to severe pain since early February. Lost my mobility then ( not a great 40th Birthday present) as well. I am so excited to get my life back. I am dreaming of walking my labrador and even just walking the neighborhood with my husband and kids. Heck, picking up stray socks without my hip popping and falling out would be a treat at this point! Anyway, sorry so long, just really wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation to this group. If I can ever offer any help to anyone else, I would be happy to "pay it forward".

Thanks guys!!! It felt like setting my wedding date!!! I am THAT excited. Yesterday was my Pre-Op appointment and I was beyond nervous, the Physician Assistant insisted that she send in my surgeon "just one last time before surgery". I felt so silly, but just talking with him and hearing his reassurances has taken my nerves down a few levels. He also emphasized a positive outlook being very important for a good recovery. I am so glad I found this group before my surgery date.
