I am going slow. My knee feels like an elephant is sitting on it but my range of motions in improving. I’ve been able to manage in aspirin & tramadol
Elevating while sleeping has been a challenge.

I hear there is a turning of a corner that will happen looking forward to that day!

:welome: To the other side. Try to elevate and ice your leg as much as possible. That will help bring down the swelling, help with pain and your leg will begin to feel a little more normal. Are you taking aspirin as a blood thinner? If you are taking another blood thinner I would suggest that you try taking Tylenol four times a day along with your tramadol however it is prescribed.

Welcome to the Other Side :welome:
You are in the early very angry knee stage. I second the recommendation to ice and elevate.
Give it time you will start to feel better slowly but surely over the next few weeks.

Here is your copy of the Knee Recovery Guidelines, the articles are short and will not take long to read.

Knee Recovery: The Guidelines
1. Don’t worry: Your body will heal all by itself. Relax, let it, don't try and hurry it, don’t worry about any symptoms now, they are almost certainly temporary
2. Control discomfort:
rest
ice
take your pain meds by prescription schedule (not when pain starts!)

3. Do what you want to do BUT
a. If it hurts, don't do it and don't allow anyone - especially a physical therapist - to do it to you
b. If your leg swells more or gets stiffer in the 24 hours after doing it, don't do it again.

4. PT or exercise can be useful BUT take note of these

5. At week 4 and after you should follow this

6. Access these pages on the website

Elevating while sleeping has been a challenge.
Do the best you can with the elevating. I know in my first week or two, my leg hurt if it was on the wedge too long, but as days went by I was able to keep it elevated longer.

And, remember, a slight bend in your leg is fine, and is more comfortable, it doesn’t have to be totally straight.
