Does anyone know if I can go in the hot tub with these new knees? I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, staples are gone and they are healed up pretty good.

United StatesI have a hot tub and my OS did not want me in it until after my 6 week office visit. Then I did not get into it for another 2 weeks. I had to be sure everything was healed. No openings for the water to take any bacteria into the joint itself.
So, I would stay out of the hot tub until after you have seen the OS and he or she has approved of getting in one especially if it is a public one! JMO

Manesail....discuss this with your doctor and follow his advice. You certainly don't want to risk the chance of infection. You are still very early in recovery.

Thanks for the advise, I stayed clear of the hot tub - what you said made sense. I really don't want to risk any infection.
