I mistakenly started a thread like this in the pre KR side. Should have been here on the after surgery side . oh well, I had my 3 week post op today. It went well. Stiches out, I only had 4 total one each at top & bottom of each incision. No xrays, the do that at 8 week, which is actually scheduled in my 9th week. I saw the PA. He cleaned up the glue on my legs and checked my flex and ROM. happy with both. He said at 3 weeks I am where they like to see people at 8 weeks. So I am ahead of the game. I had PT before my DR appt. so it's been a busy day for these knees. Still get pretty tired and need a nap. He said therenwasn't anything I couldn't do except deep squats. Wasnt going to anyway. Let swelling and stiffness be my indicators for feet up and rest. Today was a good day, a little closer to normal. Ofcourse I'm not so sure what normal is anymore, but that is another thread.

Congrats. Whats your ROM do you know off hand? My doc sees people at 4 weeks,
so I go in for my recheck next Thursday.

Congrats Jenn. Glad to hear things are going so well for you. You sound like one of those people I talked to before I had mine done.lol

What does that mean gat? what would they say?

edk, be sure to let us know how your 1st post-op goes.

Jen, I'm so happy to hear of your good report!!! Congratulations!!!

Jen, I'm so happy for you! Our prayers are paying off! You are doing fantastic. I hope your recovery continues to go well. God be with you!

Blessings,
Skeet

I talked to probably 5-6 people that told me, Oh, its great, best thing I ever did". None of 'em told me about the PT, or "The Pit", or no sleep, or no ROM; everything was just peachy to hear them tell it. You have been doing so good with your's, there is a rumour out there that really didn't have a TKR at all. You're just pretending so you can stay on tha 'board'...................least that's what Doug said...........you know.

Jenn....you'll see huge improvements at 3 months.....you just be a good little girl - do your PT and before you know it, you'll be back to NORMAL....real, honest to goodness NORMAL....real - run to the grocery....Christmas Shopping....take a stroll by the duck pond....NORMAL!

Is this really what you all think, cause i did both, blood guts and bones for real. Maybe you are just kidding and i'm too tired and sore to take it because I over did it and now I hurt just like some one who had Bilateral knee surgery!

Jen....you're doing AMAZINGLY well!!!! At 3 weeks, I was still scuffing around in my pj's!!!....crying....constipated...crabby....etc!

Take a perc....put your feet up....Chill!!

Want me to tell you a story???

And I'm sorry if my journey hasn't been as painful as yours. I have no control over that and take no credit for it either. If some one wants to buy me a new digital camera and send it I'll take a pix of my legs and post it.

I'm cyber huggin' you!

Girl...you can't be posting your "purty gams" on this website (unless a monkey is involved)!!!

Jen, I'm sure Gat was making a joke. My word!!! You should feel nothing but pride and happiness for your progress in such a short time!!! I was like Patti at three weeks....humble and wondering if I'd ever walk without a cane. Everyone's body is different. Everyone's surgeon is different. And everyone heals at their own pace. Please be happy and rejoice in your good fortune. You are a shining star and offer so much encouragement to all of us!!! We love you!!! Sending virtual (((((hugs))))))!!!!

Jen, your recovery is truly amazing. I was in a dark pit at three weeks. In fact, I still fall back in the pit sometime.. I might be seeing your pic on the NY Marathon is a couple of months.
Patty raised the monkey...That does it tomorrow I'll find him and cheer you up some.
Add my cyber hugs too!!

Doug, take Gat out back and give him a good whippin' with a willow branch. Tell him not to pick on little Jen. She is a sweet little thang and her surgery and recovery thus far are what we'd all hoped and prayed for. I'm a little jealous, but then I really don't remember much about the first 6 weeks cuz I was way to drugged up to care. I'm thrilled to know folks can do so well.

Jen, Gat's just old and jealous and trying to make you laugh. He don't mean no harm.

As Old Ann Landers used to say, that's twenty strokes with a wet noodle... or something like that. Dang, the memory is the second thang to go. I don't remember what the first thang was....

Skeet, Will do...
Yep you druggie. If you want to know where your mind was go back and read the post in January. You would think we were all on smack or something.

My manager said I sent him an email that had words but the sentences didn't make sense. Said he knew I wouldn't be back in january when he saw that. Got a good laugh out of it though. Hope he didn't save it for revenge someday.

Jenn, it's great news that you are doing so well. Congratulations and keep coming along in "leaps and bounds"!!!

(((((((((HUGS))))))) Sue

You know, they were painful, dreary cold, times but I will alwas cherish the friendships we made.

I agree. I've never had so many fast wonderful friends in my life. Love you all.
