I'm a 47 year male that had surgery 3 months ago. I had a metal hip inserted. I returned to work after 4 weeks. I still have a little limp from the loss of muscle strength. Plan on sleeping in a good recliner for two or three weeks after the surgery. The pain would't allow me to lay in my bed. My hip was attacked by arthritis and the pain was unbearable. Getting my muscles back in shape is the goal now, and also tieing my shoe! I would do it again in a second, good luck all.
