I had bi-lateral knee replacement august 2003. i am now having sharp, burning pain in the inside right knee and a little swelling? It gets stiff after sleeping and sitting and by the end of the day - can hardly walk. I have an appointment with my ortho dr on wed. but I am wondering if anyone out there has had loosing of the the joint and what does it feel like? I am hoping it is something else, but worry about having this. My mother (who has p***ed away) had both knees done and had this happen and had to have them redone. I am 52 years old and really don't want to keep having surgery on my knees.

This has started recently, has it? Is so, within what time frame? Have you had a slip or a fall? It could be a loosening but on the other hand, it could be a bit of debris or just an inflammatory process which will settle down. By the time you read this, you'll probably have seen your surgeon and either know the worst or have had your mind put at rest. Good wishes to you. Keep us posted, eh?
