If you're having surgery in the month of June, I hope you'll join our June Sunbeams for a bright start to your life with your new joint! Your fellow Sunbeams will help you along the way with warm hugs and lots of support!

We have found that surgery and recovery is easier if you have a group of folks who are going through similar experiences. So post and tell us your surgery date and get ready to meet your fellow June Sunbeams!

Hi all. 59 y/o man having my right hip done June 13 followed by the left in August (if all goes well). Going through HSS in NYC and my doc seems extremely positive.

Thank you all for setting up this space. I’m quite calm at the moment but I’m sure the nerves will increase as the date gets closer.

I’ve loved the community here on this site for my right THR and my two TKRs. I was so grateful for the information and comradeship in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep.

Now I’m back for a left THR on June 4.

Hi, I'm a 69 year-old female (remember: you may be young only once but you can be immature forever) scheduled to have a left THR, posterior approach, on June 18th; I had my right hip done (also posterior approach) last June so now I'll have a matched set.

Hi @Jockette, thank you and sorry about my delayed reply.

My right hip was replaced June 12, 2024 -- THR, posterior approach.

My left hip is scheduled for this June 18 (also THR, posterior).
