Well now! I see I am the first "Sparkler" to sign up. I am back for the other hip to be replaced.. July 2cnd-- the right one, and have been looking around at the forums and have seen several familiar names here also going for their second hip replacement.
It's a totally different feeling this time. I wish I didn't need to do it again but I know the outcome will be worth it!!

I will be with the same surgeon, same approach (Anterior) and that's all I know at this point.

7/16 for right THR with dual mobility construct as the implant of choice by my surgeon. Back home same day since surgery will be done at outpatient center. Feeling a bit of :bolt:(if my hip could do what that emoji is doing!)

I’ve followed this website ever since I had my first knee replacement in 2016. Since then, I’ve had my second knee replaced and now I’m going to have my right hip replaced on 7/8. All of the folks on here have helped me tremendously without knowing it. For some reason, I am more frightened about this than I was about either knee. My doctor says that this has a less painful recovery and has also has scheduled me for “pre-hab”. He is the top surgeon around here for knees and hips. He did both my knees so obviously I trust him. Is there anyone who can offer me some comparisons?

Hi there! My R THA will be on July 1st! I'm 45 and have to say I'm a bit nervous. Unfortunately, I've had several surgeries, but nothing like this. I'm in the worst pain and my neighbor Paul is around 70 and he can still mow his grass and walk. This hit so fast and that's why I think I'm nervous! Anyways, im hoping for some good info in the forums :) ty!
