2 weeks to THR

Hi there I'm new to this forum and have to say that I have gotten so much information and inspiration that I would like to thank all. I'm 56 an ex runner backpacker mountain guy never had any major surgery and have to admit its a little scary but reading these posts gives me heart. Question; I'm 5hrs by car from the hospital to home and half hr from an airport and a 30 min flight what do you suggest as a means of post op return? If by road do I need to be in a vehicle that I can lie down in?

I would say so, Bond (or is it James!!) Even if you manage the flight, I would arrange with the airline for you to have space to lie down. And a car big enough to stretch out on the back seat.
