Well today was my 2 week check-up. And I think it went
well. They never did say if 94 rom was good or not.
And the X-rays I pick-up at Hospital in town were the
wrong knee!!!! **##**## and they wonder why no
one wants to use the Hospital here??????!!!!!!!
But they took X-rays at the OS Doctor's today so
everything turned out all right. I am still going to
talk to Fran about it. He needs to start whipping
them in to Shape if he wants to keep the Hospital going.

Ohhh sorry got off the track there for a minute. LOL

I will have the Left knee done Friday the 6th of March.
So I have about 5 weeks to get the Right Knee whipped
in to shape.

Great news, Calling!!! So happy to hear that you are doing so well! Keep up the good work. You're progressing nicely toward earning your Knee Replacement Wings (smile)!!

Nice positive attitude there, calling! Keep it up!

I have faith you will do just fine. I would think 94 ROM is good after 2 weeks.
I am by far no expert but I am 3 weeks yesterday and mine was 97. We are fairly close.
I like your spunk

Thank you,
Again I must admitt that it was your post that caught
my eye 3 weeks ago. You just seemed like a good
friend to have a cup of coffee with. And look at us now!!
We both are whipping these new knee's in to shape!! LOL
^i^

Angels, You certainly have the right attitude and I would think you and your OS should be quite happy with your ROM, too. I like your posts, you are one of those people that help others stay cheerful and that, my knee buddy, is a true blessing. Good luck. Rowdy

sounds good Calling all Angels!!! A little bit of encouragment goes a very long way with this thing! I told my PT one day that I see what you might call incremental improvement that no one else would recognize and he said that was perceptive -- and the way it goes. Not huge gains. Just small ones. Small victories I call them. Which add up later to big victories.
I see every little improvement in those terms - victories.
Sort of like eating 3 big chocolate chip cookes as a reward at the end of the day for just getting through the day and surviving :)

I usually have a cup of tea in the afternoon, and I would love a chocolate chip cookie to go.

Well, I just got back from my GP and she gave me Lyrica for night time so I can possibly get some sleep. I think that is my only complaint nowl. The excercises are hard but not impossible. I used to love to dance and haven't been able to for it seems forever.
I am feeling much more positive now. Thanks goodness for this site

That's interesting,, Deb on the Lyrica. I am taking that twice a day and Celebrex once a day but only for the 2 and a half weeks after the operation. Lyrica, my pharmacy printout says, is for seizures and fybromalagia aches and pains. Interesting drug! I wonder how I will feel without the "cocktail".
As for the cookies - unfortunately thy are store bought unless one of my friends who cook brings some. My husband does what cooking we do (more during this episode because he is often home with me). I'm a disaster in the kitchen as he tells me often. But chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven are probably one of the best rewards for anything!!! Yum. We're going out for dinner tonight (I willb e jumping up and heading to the bathroom every 15 minutes so I can walk and not stiffen up) and I intend to have desert!!! So no cookies with tea this afternoon... Deb and Calling....

That is what the GP told me, it was for seizures and fybromalagia. I actually have fybromalagia. At first she suggested Percocet and I refused because my OS wouldn't give that to me because it is very addictive and that worries me. I take immovane,
which is also addicting, and I am sure I am addicted to it, to sleep at night. It used to work lovely, not anymore. The Lyrica is suppose to be short term. Alll I really need is a good night sleep. I can't take Celebrex because I have an alergy to Sulfa.
