I went today for my two week follow up with surgeon. He said that the first surgery (right side) 8 weeks ago was the fluke (It went pretty well) He said this surgery (left side) is more the norm. He said I just got lucky with the last one and the pain was at a minimum. Last time my knee hurt worse than my hip. He said he is very happy with where I am right now. He said in another week I can switch to water therapy which he thinks will be easier.
I figure there are several good things going on:
1. For the first time in years my right knee doesn't hurt.
2. I only have 2 hips so I am done having hip replacements!
3. I feel so much better than I did the week following surgery and a little better than last week.
4. My right leg, hip, etc is doing great.
Add to that the bad things:
1. Severe muscle cramps in left calf
2. Pain where I pulled the muscle in my left thigh
3. Left hip, incision, leg, etc. hurt
I just have to keep reminding myself it has only been two weeks!
Thanks Everyone!
Sandy
