Hi fellow KR forum readers.

I'm now 18 days +. The knee is very stiff and sore. Even after Percocet, icing, lots of "gentle persuasion" from my PT, I'm still at 70 degrees.

I called my pharmacy today to try to get more Percocet with the Labor Day holiday approaching. They faxed my family Dr and his office called to say he was going to stop by my house to review all my med's. Not many Dr make house calls, even fewer initiate the call on their side. He's been our family Dr for over 40 years.

He checked everything over for infection, etc. Gave me a prescription for 100 more Percocet, 60 more Lorazepan (sp?) to try to calm me down during the PT sessions + something called Arthcotec (sp?) that is supposed to help with the pain.

The PT is so painful I can't relax and just let the leg hang free. I switch from home care PT to a clinic next Wed. I hope things start to loosen up and the pain eases up during the next week.

sorry to hear about your pain. i would think it would very disheartening. and, a doctor who actually stops by your home!!
wishing you better moments! will check back 8/29.

well, all in all, you sound about right for the point in time. At least your doctor takes and interest and seems to have the right attitude. Bear with it - it WILL get better eventually.

I had to double check where you live. The only way a doctor in the States would make a house call is if his car and cell phone broke down in front of my house and he needed to use my phone. My GP has a 72 hour turn around on returning phone calls so if I do have to speak to her and I assuming I live 72 more hours I leave a message otherwise I go to urgent care. I am so sorry you are in so much pain but just in awe that you have a doctor who will stop by your house to review your meds. It may take me the entire weekend to get over that one. Thank God it is a long weekend, huh? Have a good one, will keep you in my prayers. Try to remember it will get better it just takes time. Rowdy

Hi Vern! Don't worry if you continue to work hard it will come around! I have around the same rom and I'm 13 day's out and my Pt say's I'm doing well so keep your chin up pain is alway's going to be there until everything is healed.
Good luck Ralph
