Hi all, Just wanted to say Hi and tell the new folks it will get better, I have been back to work for 3 weeks and it gets easier every day. I read the posts every night but feel I have nothing to add but want to encourage new people how good it will be, I can walk without pain yippee. I am in California near San Francisco, we have been having great weather and that might be helping also. Now if I could get my back to be painfree. Lyn

If you walk on it much, does it still swell???

it swells very little and still gets a little warm but I don't walk all that much maybe half a mile at one time. I was never very physical but suddenly I want to climb a tree or roller skate and I am 60 years old lol go figure Lyn

Doug, I walked over 7000 steps on Wednesday and no swelling really. The swelling is more related to my PT exercises I have to do for the next 9 months :)

Talk about walking, I'm off to my daily walk at the shopping mall. Unfortunately, every day that I go there I wind up purchasing something. But, at least Im getting my walking in and I feel much better after a nice walk and a cup of coffee or a snack. Skeet, that reminds me, I have a pedometer, I think Im going to wear it today and see just how far I went! I just went and put it on and I have walked 11 steps around my table. I will let you know how far I went.
Best regards to every one!
Chuck

Cool video! Can you tell us more about the practice of waving flags? It isn't something I've ever heard of before.

Josephine,Totally cool flag worship. That is one beautiful church. How old is it???

I guess I'm going to have to break down and get a pedometer too. I know the mall I walk at is just over 1 mi. They have it marked off. I just can't let Skeet do 7000 and me do 6999.

LOL - I was surprised at how many I logged. Now I'm looking to get to 10k on one day!

Bye the way Skeet, I am darn glad to see you on the forum today.

Great video Josephine, I've never heard of flag waving either, what is it all about? I guess you will be doing that while I am still in bed in the morning...ooohh, just remebered, we put the clocks forward tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you all like the vid. A friend took it on her mobile phone, hence the low resolution. As for the church, it's actually a cathedral! I am currently undertaking a pilgrimage of sorts to visit about 12 cathedrals in the UK and do flag worship there. Takes a bit of organising. I've done two so far, Durham Cathedral and that was Peterborough Cathedral. Every place I go to I have had some connection with, either worked in the region, lived there or had family there. I started at Durham (about 10 miles down the road) because it's the oldest and I plan to finish in Coventy Cathedral because I worked at the hospital in Coventry and it's the newest Anglican Cathedral. The session takes me about 40-50 mins as that's about all the stamina I have! And I dance in bare feet with is ok in an ordinary church as they usually have carpet but in places like that it's all stone!! Brrrrr!! Also, that was one of the quieter, more reserved pieces. I'm usually a lot more frenetic than that!

If you want to know more about flag worship, take a look at my website (and moderator hereby violates a forum rule by advertising her own site!!) And you might want to click on the (absent) pic of my "God" son Ian on "Friends and Supporters" in order to read my testimony
