Yep, it's been 6 months already and can't begin to tell you how great my knee is! to be honest, I've pretty much forgotten all about it most of the time! Of course, my left knee has helped in that respect now it's in that 'rit of fealous jage'!! (Insp Closue!). But has to be said, the right is sound as a bell and I can walk on it great.

:wahey::wahey:

Im so happy for you Jo. You take care of all of us...We worry about you.....Now just get the other fixed and there will be no stopping ya!!!!!!!!!! Glad your doing so great !!!!!!!!!!You deserve it !!!!!!!!!

Just thrilled for you, Jo!!! It makes such a tremendous difference in our busy, active lifestyles to get through the day without pain! So now....get your other knee done, and re-claim the other part of your wonderful life! You make it easy for all of us! Wish you all the best as well!!! ((:0)

Jo Jo
I am so happy for you!!! To have a new knee and to be able to
forget that it is new it unbelieveable to me!!! I hope one day
that I too will get there. So I can do my Rocky dream up the
Church Steps!!! LOL

I'm so pleased that you have fully adopted your new knee instead of just fostering, have you heard when they can sort the other one yet? There will be no stopping you in the Great North Run next year, eh! XX. Will phone you before the weekend, luv Dawnie.

Yeah - I can just imagine it, Dawnie! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Since you have posted photos of yourself before Jo--we are not fooled by that photo!!! Sounds like your knee is doing great---yesterday I had a day where the word knee did not even enter my head---the first day like that since May 13!!!

Do you walk a lot ? I know that Europeans do not have the car rear ends that we do in this country---for me, in a rural town in Montana, public transportation does not exist.

However, wonderful mountains do exist and today, i am climbing one of them!!!! Good work, Jo. I hope the other knee comes along as well.

I still count on my fingers to make sure its been six months.

Its amazing what a difference it has made, isn't it?

I'm glad to hear you're doing so well- and I've been keeping track of that "numb area" post you made too.

:thmb:

Oh my!!! Those gals have been spending MUCH too much time in the bakery, Jo! ((:0)!

So glad you are doing so well with your knee!!! Now go get the other one fixed and come visit us over here!!! Love the picture!

Well, Kelly, I'm not walking very much atm because of the other knee. But tbh I HATE walking in any shape or form. I will go to the gym although my 10 mins on the treadmill is a total bore and done as a penance whilst the rest of the equipment I really enjoy. Can't wait to get back there and get going again!

Jo I'm so happy for you and really proud of how far you've come already. Now it's time for Round 2!!! Let's get that other knee movin' before winter sets in! Have you thought about a date? There is no rest for the wicked, you know....and posting that race photo proves you do have a little wicked streak in there somewhere......:hehe:

Jo - just jumping back in after awhile away and really pleased to hear how well your 6 month knee is doing. Hard to believe we are so far along now... Are you going to have the other one done? Last I read there were xrays showing it was not necessary. But I've missed alot of the day to day.....
Funny you hate walking and like the other gym equipment. Usually it's the other way around :)

Surgeon assures me the joint is in good nick except (!) my cruciate is 'a bit raggedy' and the cartilage is shredded! I am fully expecting him to come to me in recovery and say "hey, y'know what - there's a lot more damage in that knee than I thought! TKR for you!"
