    ROM Question

It takes time. My LTKR knee is at 110 and that's the best it's going to be. My RTKR is at 130 and that's great. Even the same person can have two knees that have different range of motion. Same Doc, Same Hospital, Same knee. Difference maybe that I had 7 previous surgeries on my left and...

    Manipulation at 6 wks

Don't feel like a wimp. I needed an MUA for my first knee replacement. It's fantastic a year later and I typically forget I even needed it. My second replacement this January - I didn't need the MUA and have better range of motion. Same PT place, same surgeon ect. The difference was...

    Not sure what to do

I'm 45 and now have both knees done. I tell people that I'm not bionic, just metallic. Anyway, I was playing golf 3-4 months after my first knee replacement. Looking forward to going back to golf in April and bowling in a few more weeks. Plus I have a 7 year old to keep up with. Get your...

    1 month Post Op

Hi all...one month ago today I had my right TKR and 1 year ago January I had my left TKR. My right knee has been much better than my right, but that was expected. I had 6 previous surgeries on my left, including a mosaicplasty and had a lot of scar tissue. For my left knee - My extension...

    One year ago today!!

That's right! A bunch of us came up with one year in January. I celebrated with a new right TKR on the 21st...doing very well. Let's see - the "year old" knee is going great. Bend is around 120...straight though, which is what I was having trouble with for the longest time. Pain free and...

    2 weeks post op today

Hi all...this board was a real God send last January when I had my LTKR. On the 21st of this January I had my RTKR and feel good. Range of motion is much better on this knee, but I had expected as much. My left was my 7th operation on that knee so there was a lot of scar tissue. A year...

I'm 15 weeks and still swollen...and I never had swelling prior to this replacement and I had 6 prior knee surgeries. It's still warm also. Steph

Study: check this out. Is it true for you?

Both of mine are shorter and I'm due a right TKR next year... I better go check my 6 year olds fingers and either tell him to go let it rip in soccer or to be careful...(just kidding- sort of) Steph

Two weeks post op with some wound drainage

Work on that extension! I only say that because I'm 15 weeks and my extension is still at +3 and it does affect how you walk. I had a manipulation for my flexion and the doctor was not able to make any ground on the extension part. Don't let the hamstring tendons get too tight. This is the...

12 days after Knee Replacement, Worried...

I remember that I could not raise my leg for around 3 weeks, then all of a sudden I did one day and cried like a baby...I added to say that this is while I was laying down and doing straight leg raises. My mind and leg were not connecting. Hope your wife feels better soon. Steph
