I have called to make an appointment with him. I will let you know what comes of that but right now I am scheduled for a shoulder replacement so I'm not about to let them do anything more to my knees!!
I had BKR two years ago. One knee healed fabulously and the other one still is painful at times, swells up, and when I try to cross legs when sitting it locks and I hear the old familiar "clicking" sound.
Is there anyone out there that has any suggestions or can tell me why this is still...
Still less than ideal
:sigh:Three months post BLTKR my right knee is working like a charm. I love it. My left knee is always painful, swollen, tight, and very disappointing. Still not able to go back to work and still not great range of motion. I don't know why the big difference in the two...
I did read them all Jo and thank you, I have finally figured out how to use this website and appreciate your joining the two threads. I do ice and elevate. Rt knee really doing great, left knee painful 24/7???
I am sorry you are in pain. I know how that feels. The ladies are right, you need to get the pain meds on board! That will be one of the tools to help you to lift your leg. The muscle spasms will start to relax, just make sure they are keeping your pain under control. Everyday will be a little...
Scary..

Re: A new life for me.
Your attitude is so great. You'll keep us all on our toes. (snicker). Well all remind each other to have the patience we need for this journey called recovery. Welcome.
Thank you so much Tim, those were the exact words I needed to hear. Brilliantly said and wonderfully taken. I love this forum. I am so thankful I have found it. BTKR 12/14/11 and recovery has improved leaps and bounds since joining this forum. I even took a nap today!
Hi Josephine, I am cutting back on OxyCodone, OxyContin, and Percocet. My ROM is between 120-130 depending on how hard my PT pushes on my knees. Usually crying at end of session.this forum has really helped.thank you
No, same for me. I had surgery six weeks ago and I sometimes think knee will pop out of skin. So far, so good. Think of it as medicine or try not to think of it at all. It will be okay. It is better then damaged or des eased hips!!
I Am also having a lot of tightness in my knees after bilateral replacements on 12/14/11. My PT is really painful. Is it scar tissue and will it ever go away? :hissyfit:
