Hello again. Since my last post I've seen my consultant, had x-rays on my wrist and hip and he was pleased that all was looking good. He even suggested I take up Tai Chi !!
However, during the last few weeks I've found walking painful - feels like lightning strikes down my thigh to my calf at...
Hi Jacey..thank you for your response. I've not had an x-ray since my surgery so might be a good idea to get checked out.. Not lifted heavy things but definitely on my feet a lot recently as holiday time and little 'uns staying.
Thanks again
Hello. Now I am 9 months post-op and have been doing quite well. Recently, though I've started getting sharp pain in my op site - not constant - only if I walk a little too far. Is this common after a DHS procedure? Other times, discomfort like tooth-ache in my thigh from the scar site down...
Hello. So sorry to hear of your accident - so easily done. I slipped on wet leaves in the garden and broke my right wrist and right hip. Had surgery to fit a DHS and two operations on my wrist as the first was unsuccessful. 3 weeks in hospital and discharged to Community Physio who visited...

Hope you've had a good day.
Take care

Hi...I've just joined this forum. I am 70 and last October I slipped on wet leaves in the garden, fracturing my hip and wrist. I had a dynamic hip screw fitted and a plate and pins in the wrist. I had a review in early January when the consultant confirmed that my wrist was healing. I asked...
