THR Nearly 1 year making slow progress

If I can offer any advice, it is this. Never underestimate the trauma we suffer as a consequence of the invasive surgery taken place. After my second hip replacement it is very clear however much we rest or excercise there is an adverse reaction. so too much exercise causes pain and to little...

    THR Hip pain

We limp to avoid putting weight on to the sensitive limbs that are not really ready to bear the weight of the body. this in turn puts more stress on the body. its a vicious circle. Rest. One stick used to assist in walking can prevent a limp and associated wobble. this in turn gradually...

I had my first hip in October 2022. I was concerned as no xrays were taken. I was made to choose which hip on the day, I left with what was a long leg and had absolutely no consultation with the surgeon. All turned out well and given it was funded by the NHS was grateful that all turned out...

Well progress has slowed. Pain is almost gone completly. swelling gone. slight lack of feeling arround wound. Try as I might I cant walk without limping. I think this is due to not being able to put full weight in to new hip. fine with a single stick. So I suspect it just means more time...
