Danelady I truly love you and your posts. I havent been on this site for 4-5 months but was happy (and sad) to see your posts. I swear this all sounds so positive now. i think you are on the right tract. You are a kick with your blood face and nun outfit. Did you have your ruler out when you...
@hhhooray I could have written exactly what you wrote. I have all the same issues at 12 months but no grinding pain like before and I am able to be very very active like you. I am just happy to be where i am and assume each month/year will get better!
What can I say. The group here took the words right out of my mouth. AMAZING! On hip and drawing both! So happy to hear from you. I dont check in here as much now but glad I did today! A real surprise to hear from you!! Keep up the wonderful work!
I have some pain or shall I say discomfort after i work out and I am a year out. My OS told me to use Voltaire cream 3 times a day instead of Ibuprofen. It seems to work well. I tend to to just use it after workouts. Maybe that will help
I had that same kind of pain about the same time and did nothing different for it and it just went away as time went by. Maybe another 2-3 weeks. It will keep getting better and better.
I agree with all of these wonderful people. I read their posts when i found this at 3 weeks and I never did any more PT. I am generally an active person so I just did activities I loved and didnt do anything that hurt. Like Debry4 said what we normally do every day as we slowly heal it all works...
Hugs to you from me and I am sure from all of us! I only hope each days gets easier and easier. This type of loss is devastating! Know you can vent on this site anytime.
I am so happy when I see you have posted. We love to hear from you good or bad. You have such a wonderful personality!I trust your judgement. I realize when you have had your dislocations a lot of the times it's just when you are sitting. (cant say a lot of the times to very many people!!!) My...
Yes you are our bravest Bonesmarter!!! So happy to hear from you. When we didnt hear from you I was thinking the worst!!! Yes there has to be another dr with super knowledge!! Hugs to you!
Sometimes I feel like I am happy my dr told me i had the 90degree rule. Never tried to put on my shoes without a long shoe horn and I didnt feel my his was jammed because I couldn't bend that way. I bet I would feel the same way as you are at 3 months. I couldn't bend per his instructions until...
I wonder how many of us knit. It was wonderful to have this habit during my recovery. Made sitting with ice much more tolerable. I am guessing a lot of you anx it due to the fact you have to return to work. Maybe talking with your boss will help that!
It took me a long time to go upstairs without holding on to something. If you think about it it takes all the muscles around the hip which are healing and or weaker. I think it was 4 months before I could do it and when I am tired I feel it. I am almost 9 months post op.
I feel for you and your dilemma. I think you will know when it is the right time. I do want to tell you that this blog and others are for people who have questions to ask. Many are having some problems. I want you to know that many, many, many more are not on this site because they aren't having...
You can put bricks or blocks under the foot end of your bed and it slightly inclines you without you even noticing it. Also I would like to know what she meant by icing too much. Most of us here iced a lot. It is a wonderful pain/swelling reducer and I cant think of a downside unless you dont...
Staying connected here will make you feel much better. Also call a friend and ask her/him to take you to the store (even if you dont need anything) or make up things to get people to come over. A lot of times friends dont know what you need but want to help. It is way easier to help others (as...
I found this site at 8 weeks and wish I would have found it sooner. After I read about PT and what not to do I stopped PT. My recovery was so much better afterwards. I took a half a tramadol and it helped my pain when it was at your stage. If your pain was less you would be more positive. If...
