    THR Spongebob's Recovery Journey

I have some pain or shall I say discomfort after i work out and I am a year out. My OS told me to use Voltaire cream 3 times a day instead of Ibuprofen. It seems to work well. I tend to to just use it after workouts. Maybe that will help

THR Mum of 4 in recovery

I agree with all of these wonderful people. I read their posts when i found this at 3 weeks and I never did any more PT. I am generally an active person so I just did activities I loved and didnt do anything that hurt. Like Debry4 said what we normally do every day as we slowly heal it all works...

THR Can’t put sock on operated leg 9 weeks post THR

Sometimes I feel like I am happy my dr told me i had the 90degree rule. Never tried to put on my shoes without a long shoe horn and I didnt feel my his was jammed because I couldn't bend that way. I bet I would feel the same way as you are at 3 months. THR Iliopsoas Tendonitis

I wonder how many of us knit. It was wonderful to have this habit during my recovery. Made sitting with ice much more tolerable. I am guessing a lot of you anx it due to the fact you have to return to work. Maybe talking with your boss will help that!

    THR Megsmum75's Recovery

It took me a long time to go upstairs without holding on to something. If you think about it it takes all the muscles around the hip which are healing and or weaker. I think it was 4 months before I could do it and when I am tired I feel it. I am almost 9 months post op.

THR I'm leaning towards not having this operation. Does anyone know someone who didn't get it when they needed it?

THR LaKarune's Journey Back to the Dance Floor - Recovery Thread

You can put bricks or blocks under the foot end of your bed and it slightly inclines you without you even noticing it. Also I would like to know what she meant by icing too much. Most of us here iced a lot. It is a wonderful pain/swelling reducer and I cant think of a downside unless you dont...

THR Beginning blues 11 days out

Staying connected here will make you feel much better. Also call a friend and ask her/him to take you to the store (even if you dont need anything) or make up things to get people to come over. A lot of times friends dont know what you need but want to help. It is way easier to help others (as...

THR 7 weeks and feeling miserable

I found this site at 8 weeks and wish I would have found it sooner. After I read about PT and what not to do I stopped PT. My recovery was so much better afterwards. I took a half a tramadol and it helped my pain when it was at your stage. If your pain was less you would be more positive. If...
