    TKR TS’s lopsided recovery'

Woo. Lost track of time there! Well past my year anniversary but life is hectic now! Had my 1yr checkup. Dr was happy and said looks good despite my not-so-perfect numbers. He was thrilled to hear what I can now do tho so he stopped worrying what I can’t do anymore. In short I’m ok with it...

@sistersinhim thanks. Lol. And guaranteed I will be caught a few times by the tv cameras perched on the sidelines/end zones with the mass pack of photographers. Lol. No way to avoid it when you are yards from the play

Well my bonesmarties... the final check on my wish list has arrived so this is the end of my time here. I return to work July 3rd. It will be 2hrs / day a couple of days a week for July just to see how the knee and hip handle it and what accommodations we need to make for a full return but I...

Well - update after seeing my OS for my 9mnth followup and then talking it over with my treatment team. I can now walk just over a km a day using my walking poles. Time is about 18 min/km but by the end I struggle with form so we are cutting back to 1/2 km daily with slower pace and perfect...

@DLR It’s ok This is NOT your new normal. My varus correction took 3.5 months to settle behind my knee and I still have moments with it. That knee didn’t get that way overnight. It won’t go away overnight. Lmk if you need a shoulder and a hug

 Wow it’s been a while! Strange how time flies when you are rejoining the world!! So....my life right now is filled with weird comparisons of what I can or can’t do. I’m 8.5 mnths out now. Getting set to see the OS in a few days and feeling a bit anxious about it because I’m no where...

@DLR My input on the crutch thing My gait therapist advised walking one crutch opposite leg torques the lower back oddly as your arms aren’t swinging like normal and you tend to hitch your hip. Preferred I use 2 crutches forward with bad leg. Found it used less energy and I stood up...

    MUA Well, I am confused<

And that is the quote that makes up 90% of all posts on here. My journey started that way by going at it hard but quickly became one where my Diva-Knee made her opinions very well known and I am now make more gains the more passive we go. Discomfort is one thing. Pain is totally different...

Hey @DLR I know the area you are talking about. I went thru the same issues with going from one alignment to another. It’s horrible. Any chance of some light massage to loosen and drain the area? Keeping you in my thoughts daily still

I put the X-ray here if anyone wants to peak Was taken standing anterior view. You can see the R femoral head vs the socket and a few other misalignment issues that weren’t there about 2 yrs ago on a previous X-ray. Will find out more Thursday. Surgery is NOT even a topic of discussion...

Yup the hip has joined in on the adventure now. Xrays show instead of it externally rotating in the socket like we had hoped once the knee was done it has instead partially come out. Still progressing but another ball being juggled into the loop.

Yup. The hip is slipping out of socket instead of externally rotating like we thought it would and it’s causing some issues. Dr G wants a few xrays to see what’s happening. Lol. Just can’t catch a break.

First time since June 2018 I’ve picked up my gear. Hubs caught this the moment I clicked the first frame. This is a historical covered bridge in our region. Muddy uneven gravel roads to get to it. Was hard to shoot thru the tears for a few moments. Can’t remember last time I felt this alive.

Hey my friend!!:console2: I’ve been thinking for you. How’s things? One thing that summoned the poop fairy every time for me was caffeine. One of my nurses even suggested it. Tim’s ice capp was perfect! So everything went smooth? Dr H do a good job? Things are going well enough on my...

 Happy spring y’all... a bit of a long post but... So I have been going about my days trying to figure out where exactly I’m going with things. Sorta just rambling and seeing what I can and can’t do as I was asked to make a “wish list” by my pt and my return to work coordinator. On it...
